1. FATEFULLY FOUND IN LIVESTOCK BREEDING FROM AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS

From agricultural products and fertilizer business, Mr. and Mrs. Xuan Tanh expanded into the field of animal feed business to supply to local farmers. Along with that, they prepared a barn to raise 100 to 200 pigs to evaluate productivity and measure the efficiency of animal husbandry. However, at this time, due to lack of experience in animal husbandry, the business and animal husbandry efficiency in 2007 was not as expected, Ms. Tanh decided to stop the animal husbandry business to focus on trading agricultural products and fertilizers.

In 2010, when meeting and discussing the business of animal feed products with GreenFeed staff, from determining the business model, detailed accounting of efficiency, they convinced Mr. and Mrs. to return to this business field and officially cooperate with GreenFeed. Closely working with customers to implement the 3-pillar livestock solution set to support farmers from the beginning has helped them feel confident in their decision.

2. THE JOURNEY FROM A BRAN DEALER TO THE OWNER OF A THOUSAND-SOW PIG FARM

Confident in her business, Ms. Tanh continued to build a pig farm with a scale of 50 breeding sows with GF24 breeding stock and Omega pig semen. The pig farm has helped her increase her sales reputation in the area. Also in 2010, the blue ear disease broke out, a big decision of hers helped her dominate the market. While most markets have reduced investment to recover capital, Ms. Tanh decided to focus on supporting customers financially, expanding business, and at the same time, together with GreenFeed staff, supporting livestock farming experience to help farmers thoroughly implement technical measures to protect herds as well as increase productivity. The number of farmers she serves has at times reached over 100 customers. With this orientation, Ms. Tanh has won the trust of livestock customers in the area as well as helped feed production increase continuously, reaching an average of 200 tons/month from 2011 to 2014. This is also the premise for the couple to expand their scale and have more conditions to serve their business better.

In 2016, the couple continued to start construction of a farm with a scale of 200 breeding sows and 1,600 pigs. The farm went into operation during the most difficult period of the market when pig prices were very low and many customers had left their pigsties empty. With the perception that overcoming this difficult period would be a great opportunity, she was determined to keep the pig farm. Discussions with the company's sales and technical staff took place periodically to ensure the safe operation of the farm. By applying GreenFeed's solution set from GF24 sows, the technical operation team and especially thorough biosafety control helped the farm to ensure high productivity and overcome the most difficult period in terms of pig prices in the period of 2016-2018.

In 2019, ASF epidemic occurred, the pig herd in the customer system decreased sharply, causing a decrease in output. Seeing that external investment was no longer effective if the farming method did not ensure Biosecurity, after sitting down to analyze the challenges and opportunities after the epidemic, Ms. Tanh determined the goal of creating a source of quality breeding pigs to supply the farming system and the safest and most effective investment was to invest in herself.

In early 2020, in order to meet the market demand for weaned pigs, a pig farm system with a scale of 650 breeding sows was started to be built and put into operation, increasing the total breeding scale to 900 breeding sows. With a source of quality breeding pigs from GF24 sows and PIC semen, the farm has helped stabilize productivity as well as provide the market with high-quality breeding pigs. In parallel, we are restructuring the customer system to optimize cash flow, manage costs and focus resources on supporting key customers.

After more than 10 years of development, after many stages of market changes from a small-scale farming model and serving a variety of farming customers, the business activities of Mr. and Mrs. Tanh focus on supporting 15-20 customers who are large-scale key farmers as well as operating a sow farm system providing breeding pigs to serve the market's farming activities. With this business model, feed output from 2021 to present has always grown and reached an average of 450 to 500 tons/month.

This is a sustainable development direction and can focus resources to support key farmers and is also Ms. Tanh's passion in business activities in the coming time.
