On September 29, 2026, pork prices continued their downward trend, while Ri and Mia chicken prices remained stable

1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on September 29th continued their downward trend in most regions. Nationwide pork purchase prices currently range from 55,000 to 57,500 VND/kg, averaging 56,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to September 28th and 2,250 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern Region: Average pork price reached 56,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to September 28th and 3,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices fluctuated between 55,000 and 56,500 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands Region: The average price of live pigs reached VND 57,000/kg, unchanged from September 28th and VND 1,000/kg lower than the same period last week. Purchase prices fluctuated between VND 56,000 and VND 57,500/kg.
• Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached VND 57,000/kg, down VND 250/kg from September 28th and VND 750/kg lower than the same period last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached VND 56,000/kg, down VND 750/kg from September 28th and VND 1,500/kg lower than the same period last week. Transaction prices in the Southern region currently fluctuate between VND 55,500 and VND 57,500/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to GREENFEED standards) is currently 57,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to September 28th. The current price of GF24 piglets is approximately 1,000 VND/kg higher than the market price of live pigs.

2.POULTRY PRICE

On September 29th, the poultry market saw stable prices for Ri and Mia chickens in the North, while Mia chicken prices in the Central region remained unchanged. Minh Du chicken prices increased slightly in the Southwestern provinces; duck meat prices increased nationwide.

• Ri chicken prices in the North remained unchanged compared to September 28th, currently trading between 46,000 and 47,500 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North remained unchanged, fluctuating between 47,000 and 48,500 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices remained stable at 43,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 39,000 VND/kg, an increase of 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in the Central region remained stable between 38,000 and 42,000 VND/kg. The price of duck meat in the Southeast region remained stable, currently around 38,000 – 38,500 VND/kg. The Southwest region saw an increase of 500 VND/kg, generally ranging from 38,000 – 38,500 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 39,000 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The North increased by 250 VND/kg, currently reaching 41,000 – 42,000 VND/kg. The Central region increased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently fluctuating between 33,500 – 37,500 VND/kg. The Southeast region increased by 1,500 VND/kg, reaching 34,000 – 38,000 VND/kg. The Southwest region increased by 500 VND/kg, with traders currently purchasing at around 36,500 – 37,000 VND/kg.
