1.PIG PRICE
Today, May 16th, live pig prices remain stable nationwide, trading at around 67,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, 550 VND/kg higher than last week’s prices. The price difference between the North and South has narrowed significantly, now only 1,000 – 2,000 VND/kg.
- Northern region: Live pig prices continue to hold steady today, May 16th, fluctuating between 67,500 – 68,000 VND/kg, nearly 1,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last week.
- Central and Central Highlands regions: No price fluctuations were recorded in today’s trading session. Traders in the region are currently purchasing live pigs at around 68,000 – 68,500 VND/kg, the same price as last week.
- Southern regions: Prices remained stable on May 16th. Traders are currently purchasing pigs at around 68,500 – 69,000 VND/kg, the same price as last week.
- Live pigs of the GF24 generation, raised according to Greenfeed’s standard process, with meat quality receiving many positive reviews from traders, are currently selling at a price 500 – 1,000 VND/kg higher than the average price of other companies.

2.POULTRY PRICE
On May 16th, chicken prices in Northern Vietnam remained stable, while Mia chicken prices decreased slightly. Conversely, Minh Du chicken prices increased in Central Vietnam and decreased slightly in Southern Vietnam. Additionally, duck meat prices also saw a slight decrease in Central and Southeastern Vietnam. Other regions recorded no price fluctuations on May 16th.
- Northern Vietnam’s Ri chicken prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday, with traders currently buying Ri chickens at around 49,500 – 51,000 VND/kg.
- Northern Vietnam’s Mia chicken prices decreased slightly by 500 VND/kg in provinces south of the Red River Delta. Accordingly, the average price of Mia chicken in Northern Vietnam is currently in the range of 50,000 – 51,500 VND/kg.
- Minh Du chicken prices showed contrasting trends in Central and Southern Vietnam. Accordingly, Minh Du chicken prices in the Central provinces reversed their trend, increasing by 500-1,000 VND/kg on May 16th, with the average price across the region currently at 44,500-46,500 VND/kg. In the Southern provinces, Minh Du chicken prices recorded a slight decrease of 500 VND/kg, falling to 42,000-45,000 VND/kg in the Southeast region and approximately 43,000-44,000 VND/kg in the Southwest provinces.
- Duck meat prices on May 16th decreased in the Central and Southeast provinces. Specifically, duck prices in the North remained unchanged from yesterday, currently at 26,000-27,000 VND/kg. In the Central region, prices decreased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently ranging from 29,500 to 31,500 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices decreased by 1,000-2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently at 31,500-33,000 VND/kg, while in the Southwest region, prices remained stable at around 31,000-32,000 VND/kg.
