1.PIG PRICE

Pork prices on August 5th showed a downward trend nationwide. The average price across the country ranged from 58,000 to 61,500 VND/kg, averaging 60,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,000 VND/kg lower than the same period last week.

• Northern region: The average pork price reached 61,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 1,500 VND/kg lower than last week. Common transaction prices ranged from 59,500 to 61,500 VND/kg.
• Central and Central Highlands region: The average pork price reached 58,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,500 VND/kg lower than last week. Common purchase prices range from 58,000 to 59,000 VND/kg.
• Southern Region: The average price in the Southeast region reached 58,500 VND/kg, down 1,250 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,750 VND/kg lower than last week. The average price in the Southwest region reached 59,500 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday and 2,500 VND/kg lower than the same period last week. Common transaction prices in the Southern region are currently in the range of 58,000 – 60,000 VND/kg.
• The price of GF24 piglets (raised according to the GREENFEED standard process) is currently 60,500 VND/kg, approximately 850 VND/kg higher than the national average price of live pigs, continuing to maintain its advantage in quality and farming efficiency.

2.POULTRY PRICE

Poultry market on August 5th: Ri chicken prices decreased slightly in the North, while Mia chicken prices increased. Minh Du chicken prices decreased across all regions nationwide, and duck meat prices also decreased in most areas.

• Ri chicken prices in the North decreased by 250 VND/kg compared to yesterday, currently trading in the range of 44,000 – 45,500 VND/kg.
• Mia chicken prices in the North increased by 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 42,500 – 46,500 VND/kg. In the Central region, Mia chicken prices increased sharply by 2,000 VND/kg, commonly trading at 37,500 – 38,000 VND/kg.
  The average price of Minh Du chicken nationwide reached 37,000 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Prices in Central Vietnam decreased by 500 VND/kg, currently fluctuating between 36,000 and 37,000 VND/kg.
• The Southeast region also saw a decrease of 500 VND/kg, trading in the range of 36,500 to 37,000 VND/kg. The Southwest region decreased by 500 VND/kg, currently commonly around 36,000 to 39,000 VND/kg.
• The average price of duck meat nationwide reached 38,500 VND/kg, a decrease of 500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The North decreased by 500 VND/kg, currently trading in the range of 34,000 to 36,000 VND/kg. The Central region decreased by 750 VND/kg, commonly trading in the range of 35,000 to 43,000 VND/kg. In the Southeast region, prices decreased by 250 VND/kg, currently trading in the range of 41,500 – 45,500 VND/kg, while in the Southwest region, prices remained stable compared to yesterday, generally at 45,500 – 46,500 VND/kg.
