China is the largest export market for animal feed and raw materials from Vietnam, accounting for 40.8% of the total export turnover of animal feed and raw materials of the country. In 2024, the export of animal feed and raw materials to this market reached over 423.17 million USD, down 26.7% compared to 2023; In December 2024 alone, exports to China reached 46.59 million USD, up 16.6% compared to November 2024 but down 23.7% compared to December 2023.

2. Import market of animal feed in 2024
In 2024, imports of animal feed and raw materials reached over 4.9 billion USD, down 1.05% compared to 2023.
According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, imports of animal feed and raw materials to Vietnam in December 2024 increased by 8.7% compared to November 2024 and increased by 26.9% compared to December 2023, reaching 457 million USD. In general, in 2024, imports of this group of goods will reach over 4.9 billion USD, down 1.1% compared to 2023.
The largest import of animal feed and raw materials is from the Argentine market, accounting for 35.5% of the total import turnover of this group of goods nationwide, reaching over 1.74 billion USD, up 29.4% compared to 2023; in which December 2024 alone reached 189.39 million USD, down 16.8% compared to November 2024 but up sharply 160.4% compared to December 2023.
The second largest market is the US market, accounting for 20.7%, reaching 1.02 billion USD, up 33.4% compared to the same period in 2023; In December 2024 alone, imports from this market reached 129.18 million USD, an increase of 53.5% compared to November 2024 and an increase of 35.8% compared to December 2023.
Next, the Brazilian market in December 2024 saw a sharp increase of 657.4% compared to November 2024 but a decrease of 44.8% compared to December 2023, reaching nearly 22.25 million USD; in total, in 2024, imports from this market decreased by 39.8% compared to 2023, reaching nearly 551.94 million USD, accounting for 11.3% of the total turnover.
